Thiruvananthapuram: The reopening of schools in the state remains uncertain as the number of Covid patients has not decreased. The classes for class 9 and above start from September 1 in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. The schools in Karnataka opened on Monday.

The universities in Kerala have not started offline classes yet, only exams are being held. It has been decided to conduct Plus One examination from September 6. Model exams will be held via online prior to the public exams.

The teachers have pointed out that it is imperative to bring students to school either in batches or on alternate days to ensure their mental growth and boost their social skills.
