Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has issued a notification instructing head teachers of government schools to certify births and deaths. The decision comes in the wake of a Supreme Court order.
Accredited social health workers and Anganwadi workers have also been tasked with birth and death certification.
As per the notification, head teachers have been entrusted with the responsibility of certifying births and deaths within their school limits.
