School closure in Kerala: Teachers must go to school every day

Thiruvananthapuram: Even though physical classes till 9th standard are moving to online mode from January 22, teachers will have to go to schools every day. Education minister V Sivankutty said the teachers should ensure learning support for students from schools.

The KITE-Victers digital classes will be rescheduled. A specific time will be allocated for online classes through the schools.

Classes for standard 10, 11 and 12 will continue as per the current schedule. PTA meeting will be held in schools on Monday to analyse the situation. The education department will also hold the meeting of its senior officials.

Schools are also directed to sanitise the compound on January 22 and 23.

Meanwhile, vaccination for students of age 15 to 18 will start in schools on Wednesday. Preparations are on in 967 selected schools in the state which has more than 500 beneficiaries.
