Thiruvananthapuram: With only one week remaining for the school reopening, state police chief Loknath Behera has issued guidelines for ensuring safety of school students. He directed all station house officers to take necessary precautions for ensuring the safety of children.
The station house officers are directed to take strict action if school buses or private vehicles arranged by parents, take more number of students in a vehicle than allowed. They have to take action jointly with the Motor Vehicle Department to cancel the permit of the vehicle.
The DGP also informed that standard operating procedure for ensuring safety of children prepared by the Kerala police is available in the state police website www.keralapolice.gov.in.
