SC stays contempt proceedings against Jacob Thomas
New Delhi: In a relief to former vigilance director Jacob Thomas, Supreme Court of India on Monday stayed the initiation of contempt of court proceedings against him in the High Court.

High Court initiated contempt of court proceedings against Jacob Thomas after receiving a complaint that Jacob Thomas allegedly criticised judges in his complaint to Central Vigilance Commission and circulated a copy of it in media.
Jacob Thomas had moved a petition against it in the Supreme Court.
