Kochi: Additional complaints have surfaced against K Vidya, who stands accused of forging documents to secure a position as a guest lecturer.
A purported report mentioning the university SC/ST cell findings about her PhD admission at Kalady Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University has surfaced.
The report, which was apparently submitted to the university in 2020, stated that the reservation roster was subverted during admission of Vidya.
The report also highlights the intervention of the vice-chancellor's office in the matter. Vidya had filed a petition in the Kerala High Court regarding the admission process. Upon seeking information from the university under the Right to Information Act, Vidya received a prompt response on the same day. This expedited response was a result of interference from the vice-chancellor's office. On the other hand, the university took 20 days to respond to a similar application submitted by a student named Dinu, as noted in the report.
Police have registered a case against Vidya following the complaint of Maharaja’s College principal that she forged an experience certificate in the name of the college.
Vidya was a college union member and SFI leader at Maharaja’s College and Sanskrit University.
