SC decision is as good as approving review petition, says B Gopalakrishnan
Kochi: BJP spokesperson B Goplakrishnan said that in the context of Supreme’s Court’s decision to refer the review petitions on Sabarimala women entry to larger bench, Chief Minister should not try to enter activists to Sabarimala temple as there is no stay to the earlier judgement on the issue. The apex court had earlier referred the review petitions regarding women entry to a larger bench in the court.
“The devotees will not allow entry of women to the temple just because there is no stay on the issue. The ball is now in Pinarayi’s court. He should not resort to crooked means. This verdict is as good as the review petition being approved. The CM should also express his view on the entry of Muslim women to mosques” Gopalakrishnan opined.
He also warned of dire consequences if the CM attempted any ‘foul play’ in the issue.
