Sayed Jifri Muthukoya Thangal

Kozhikode: Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Ulama State chief Sayed Jifri Muthukoya Thangal has rejected the stance of IUML to organize protests inside mosques over state government’s move to entrust the Public Service Commission (PSC) in making appointments to the Waqf board.

Sayed Jifri Muthukoya Thangal informed that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has agreed to deliberate over the matter and that as of now protests plans like this are unwanted.

He pointed out that though he is against government’s move, mosques are not the forum to mark the protest. There are many other forums to sensitize people to protest, he added.

However, he slammed V Abdurahiman, Minister for Sports, Wakf and Hajj over his proclamation that the decision will be implemented at any cost.
