Thiruvananthapuram: Minister of State V Muraleedharan said that VD Satheesan is trying to get into the 'good book' of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan by raising doubts over allegations levelled by Swapna Suresh. He claimed that Satheesan is trying to appease the state government to avoid a vigilance investigation into the 'Punarjani project' conducted as part of the flood reconstruction activities.
VD Satheesan is now doubting whether Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has committed any corruption. If so, why did he let the police beat up his workers who protested against the government? he asked?
V Muraleedharan said that the Chief Minister is trying to silence the people instead of giving a reply to the allegations levelled against him. He claimed that the recent revelation of Swapna Suresh is nothing new and was just a detailed account of the incidents concerning the case.
"The state government issued diplomatic ID to officials in UAE consulate without the permission of External Affairs Ministry. It is learned that diplomatic ID was issued to even an accountant here. The chief minister and the state government have the responsibility to clarify their motives behind these decisions," he said.
