VD Satheesan, PA Mohamed Riyas
Thiruvananthapuram: The political slugfest between Opposition leader VD Satheesan and Public Works and Tourism PA Muhammed Riyas continued on Thursday.
The continuation of dramatic exchanges between the duo that happened at the Kerala Assembly on Wednesday can now be heard in the public sphere too in a more intensive form. Unsurprisingly, whataboutery and personal attacks are taking centre stage.
According to Satheesan, a person who has not yet lodged a complaint against the gold smuggling case accused Swapna Suresh over her remarks against his family members is saying that the Opposition leader (Satheesan) has a banana stem-like spine.
Replying to that Riyas said, “Opposition leader is resorting to personal attack as he is devoid of a political reply.” He also added that Kerala ministers do not dance according to his (Satheesan) whims.
Both mocked each other on the qualifications by which they rose to their respective roles.
