K Sudhakaran
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Friday distanced himself from the reports that he sent his close aide to the house of opposition leader VD Satheesan to check if he is conducting a factional meeting there.
The news is baseless. I did not assign anyone to inspect Satheesan's house, he told media persons here. Many leaders are meeting me as the reorganisation is going on. Some of them may have met Satheesan too. How can this be termed a group meeting, he asked.
Satheesan called me when he noticed the news. No leader will take up such activities that will affect the party. Congress has internal democracy. Everyone has the chance to express dissent. We are working together. No one can break us, he added.
Earlier, reports said that a group meeting was held at Satheesan’s residence and Sudhakaran sent TU Radhakrishnan to Satheesan’s house to verify it.
