The purported FB post shared by Congress leader
Kasaragod: The Kasaragod District Congress Committee (DCC) president PK Faisal courted controversy after posting Republic Day special Facebook post on Thursday. The purported photo posted by Faisal had Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar among the freedom fighters.
The ideologue was charged as a conspirator in Gandhi’s assassination but was acquitted by the court due to lack of evidence.
Faisal later removed the post as he received flak.
Earlier, the appearance of Savarkar in the poster of Congress Bharat Jodo Yatra had put the party in soup.
