Bengaluru: The Karnataka Police have nabbed three people for murdering a Malayali youth on the outskirts of the city here, sources said.

Bengaluru natives Puttaraju, Gopi and Sreenivas- those who are in custody- are robbers, police say. Their arrest may be recorded soon. However, police have not revealed more details.

Kasaragod Rajapuram native Sanu Thomson was stabbed to death by a three-member bike-borne gang on July 14 at Jigani.

Sanu was working at a mechanical engineering firm at Jigani for the last ten years. His family and friends asserted that he had no enmity with anyone in Bengaluru.

The assailants attacked Sanu when he was returning to his house from office at night. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead there.

Family had alleged lapses on the side of police in the probe. They also filed a complaint with chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and union minister V Muraleedharan regarding the same.
