Saiju Thankachan
Kochi: Crime Branch conducted raids at apartments here where Saiju Thankachan, accused in the death of the models, is believed to have organised 'drug parties'. The raids were conducted in three flats and one of the flat belonged to Saiju. The dog squad was also present during the raid, sources said.
Police obtained visuals of such parties from Saiju's phone. They have collected the details on the number of people who attended the parties and even questioned a few.
It is learnt that police are looking for a couple who owns a hotel in the city. There are nine cases against Saiju at present.
Saji was arrested over charges of chasing the models' car on the night of death. Kochi city police commissioner Nagaraju said that the chase by Saji led to the accident and the death of three on the intervening night of October 31 and November 1. Models and former Miss Kerala contestants Ansi Kabeer and Anjana Shajan died in the accident.
