Malappuram: Higher Education Minister KT Jaleel did not respond to the media regarding his interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate on the Thiruvananthapuram gold smuggling case.

The minister told the media that he said whatever he wanted to say in his Facebook post. Jaleel was not ready to give more details on the issue.

The media sought a reaction from the minister while he visited the Subhiksha Keralam project at Thavanoor en route to Thiruvananthapuram.

Jaleel returned from his residence in Malappuram on Sunday evening, accompanied by police, in view of the protests from opposition parties. Youth Congress and Yuva Morcha workers had waved black flags against the Jaleel when he came out of his residence in his official car.

In his Facebook post, the minister had stated that he did not want to convey the truth to those who were propagating lies and cooking up stories. Jaleel also added that he won his moral wars by hiding what had to be hidden and speaking what had to be said.
