Thiruvananthapuram: The safety wall of a flat under construction here in Panavila collapsed on Saturday morning, leaving two men trapped under the debris.

The rescue operation to save the migrant workers trapped under the debris is underway. West Bengal native Deepal Darman, (23), has been rescued while the other worker’s torso is only visible and rest of the portion is trapped under the concrete slab that fell over him. The rescue officers tightened the grip around the man to prevent him from slipping further into the ditch below the ground. The fire and rescue team is trying to get the man out safely without the use of other equipment.
