Sabarimala verdict: TDB to move SC seeking more time for implementation
Sannidhanam: Travancore Devaswom Board President A. Padmakumar said that the board will seek more time to implement the supreme court verdict that allowed women of all age groups enter into Sabarimala temple. He made it clear that they will approach the supreme court on Saturday or Monday seeking more time for implementing the verdict.
Padmakumar also informed that they will bring into the attention of the court the issues like allotment of more forest land to arrange additional facilities at the temple. He added that they will inform the court about the protests that took place during the monthly puja in Thulam and Chithira Atta Visesham.
The board took the decision after they could not reach a consensus in the discussions with Pandalam royal family and tantri family.
Padmakumar added that the government is liable to implement the verdict and all should cooperate to arrange for a smooth pilgrimage.
