Sabarimala to reopen on September 16 for 'Kannimasa Pooja'
Pathanamthitta: Sabarimala temple will reopen on Wednesday for ‘Kannimasa pooja’. Chief Priest A K Sudheer will light the lamp in the presence of Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru after the shrine is opened. Devotees will not be allowed to enter Sabarimala temple as part of the COVID-19 regulations.
The shrine will be closed again on September 21 by 7.30 pm after completing all the poojas. Authorities are mulling the possibility of allowing devotees to the temple on an experimental basis between September 16 and 21 ahead of the start of the pilgrimage season.
