Sabarimala temple to open on March 28; No entry for devotees
Thiruvananthapuram: Sabarimala temple will open for Thiruvulsavam on March 28. In view of the coronavirus outbreak, devotees will not be allowed inside the temple.
Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran said that the festival will be a low key affair with only customary events.
The Thiruvulsavam will commence with flag hoisting ceremony on March 29. Devotees will not be allowed to take part in the Aarattu to be held on the banks of Pamba river on April 7.
The restrictions have been placed as nine persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in Pathanamthitta district.
