Sabarimala temple opens for monthly rituals
Sabarimala: In the presence of the Tantri Kandararu Maheshwaru Mohanaru, head priest VK Jayaraj Potti opened the sanctum sanctorum of Sabarimala temple for the monthly rituals in Kanni.
The devotees were allowed to reach the temple through Nilakkal from Friday morning. 15,000 pilgrims will be allowed through virtual queue booking every day. Even after a week of opening the virtual queue booking, most of the slots remain vacant.
Those who have the certificate of two doses of Covid vaccines and RT-PCR negative certificate can visit the temple. Even the vaccinated people have to bring the RT-PCR certificate.
'Annadanam' will be available only at Sannidhanam. Small vehicles with devotees will be permitted to Pamba. After leaving them at Pamba, the vehicles have to go back and park at Nilakkal. KSRTC has allotted 15 buses for Nilakkal-Pamba chain service. For this, a bus from Pathanamthitta depot and 4 buses from Chengannur depot have been brought to Chengannur railway station.
