Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple will open for Mandala pooja on Wednesday at 5 pm. Head priest N Parameswaran Namboothiri will open the sanctum sanctorum in the presence of Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru.

The devotees will be allowed to enter the temple today, after performing some basic rituals. The annual Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season begins on November 17.

The 41-day Mandala puja festival will conclude on December 27.

The temple will be opened again on December 30 for the Makaravilakku pilgrimage on January 14, 2023. The shrine will be closed on January 20, concluding the pilgrim season.

Live booking facilities have been set up for the devotees, who could not book their darshan slots via online mode. At least 10 counters will open in Nilakkal solely for this. No fee will be incurred to book for darshan. Police will examine the tickets near Anjaneya auditorium in Pamba.

Procedures of registration

  • Name of the devotee, date of birth, address with pin code, scanned copy of an identity card have to be uploaded to book the slots on the website sabarimalaonline.org

  • A password has to be generated for each devotee by uploading the e-mail id. Later, enter tick mark in the box which confirm that the applicant will follow the rules and guidelines.

  • For completing the registration, an OTP received after this has to be entered in the site.

  • Booking slots after registration

    • Click the login button in the website and enter the email id and password generated during the registration.

  • Click the option for virtual queue

  • As many as 10 pilgrims can apply from an account for darshan. However, the individual details, including mobile number, have to be accurate.

  • Click the option ‘Add Pilgrim’ to add more devotees through an account.

  • The devotees have to enter the date and time in which they intend for darshan. The applicants will receive a message that their registration has been completed on their mobile phones.

  • The printed copy of the coupon or its digital form in mobile phones have to be shown to the security guards and police.

  • No booking is required for children below 6 years of age.
