Sabarimala: For the first time in the history of Sabarimala, special queues were launched for senior citizens and children on account of the high footfall. Another queue was set up for the differently abled persons from Sunday. The new system will be maintained throughout the Mandalam season.

The separate queue is available in the ninth row at the eastern side of the ‘Nadapanthal’. Over hundreds of pilgrims can stand in this queue at a time. One or two elder pilgrims can accompany children in this queue.

A separate waiting area has been set aside near the holy steps for pilgrims who use this special queue. Over 30 chairs are also available here.
