Sabarimala darshan to be allowed only through virtual queue system
Kollam: Preparations have begun for Sabarimala ‘mandala pooja’ which will start on November 16. Devotees will be allowed entry only after making sure they do not have COVID-19. As per the plan, the temple entry will be based on the virtual queue system. Decisions regarding this will be taken at the high-level committee meeting scheduled to take place on September 28.
The final decision on the regulations to be followed at the temple will be taken by the police department and the health department. Devaswom board has started preparations for mandala pooja. Maintenance works of buildings have started in order to provide residential facilities to officers working at the Sannidhanam and for the devotees from other states.
Regulations will be arranged in Pamba and at Sannidhanam under the leadership of high-level police officers. ADGP Sheikh Darvesh Sahib has been appointed as the Chief police Co-ordinator of Sabarimala. Crime Branch IG S Sreejith and South Zone IG Harshitha Attalluri will be Joint Police Co-ordinators.
Preparations have started
N Vasu, Devaswom Board President, stated that the Devaswom board has started the public works in Sabarimala. Decisions regarding the regulation on devotees will be taken after consultation with the health department. The pilgrimage will be allowed as per health protocols.
