Kochi: Nearly 100 acres of land in Cheruvally Estate belong to Travancore Devaswom Board, said board president Prayar Gopalakrishnan.
The other day, the government had identified the estate for constructing Sabarimala Airport.
“The report of MG Rajamanickam Commission appointed to investigate the dispute over the land has mentioned this fact. The government should return the land to the board,” he said.
The disputes over the land heated up after the government decided to set up Sabarimala airport in Cheruvally estate.
The land owned by Harrisons Malayalam Ltd was brought by Believer’s church headed by Bishop K P Yohannan.
At present, the land is in possession of the Believer’s church. However, the MG Rajamanickam Commission report mentioned it as government land.
