Thiruvananthapuram: Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran expressed concern over the report submitted by the High Court-appointed monitoring committee for Sabarimala here on Thursday. Minister stated that he is worried whether the committee will take a stand against the Supreme Court verdict allowing entry for all women into Sabarimala.
“I don’t have any idea about the report submitted by the committee before the High Court. I was surprised after media published the contents of the report,” said Kadakampally.
However, he hoped that the committee will not take a stand against the government.
At the same time, he extended support to the women who have been holding hunger strike after being denied entry to Sabarimala temple.
“The women have the right to protest,” said the minister while responding on the hunger strike of the women who attempted to trek Sabarimala.
