Ruling, Opposition spar in Assembly over corruption issues
Thiruvananthapuram: The LDF government and the Opposition clashed during the question hour session of the Kerala Assembly convened on Tuesday. The war of words started after the ruling party raised corruption allegations against the opposition one after the other.
The members of the ruling party made their strategy clear by asking questions on the corruption allegations raised against the opposition. Questions were raised in connection with the bar scam, Solar and Palarivattom flyover scams.
Even though the Opposition listened to the allegations raised by LDF members initially, they started objecting to it as the session went on.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that there was widespread corruption during the tenure of the last UDF government. The government is not scared of anything. The Opposition received a slap on their face from the public during the LSG Polls, Pinarayi Vijayan stated.
Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said the ruling party is trying to make it look like the Opposition is as corrupt as the government. He also added that the Opposition will not be affected by any sort of investigation.
