Kochi: A BJP state leader was attacked inside his house by RSS workers. Sajeevan, member of the BJP state council, was attacked on Sunday midnight and was injured on his leg.
Sajeevan said the RSS men had tried to break his leg and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kochi.
Sajeevan was not in good terms with the local RSS leaders and the BJP and RSS leaders had tried to reach a compromise in the issue. The Palarivattom police have booked a case and have begun investigation based on the complaint filed by Sajeevan.
Police have taken RSS Karyavahak Jayachandran into custody. Police said that Jayachandran was the man who had conspired the attack and the police have begun a hunt for the remaining 4 people.
The incident comes to light after news of CPM men unleashing attack against BJP-RSS activists in various parts of the state have been brought to national attention.
