New Delhi: KPCC president K Sudhakaran has informed that the party will announce the candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections within two days. He also hinted that Congress is considering young leader M Liju for the RS seat.

“The national leadership has directed us to consider the candidature of youth for the elections. The High Command is expected to give more suggestions tomorrow,” he said.

Party is also considering M Liju as the candidate for the RS elections. A final decision will be taken as per the directions of High Command. So far, KPCC didn’t prepare a panel for selecting the candidate. Many members have submitted their request for the candidature, added the KPCC chief.

He pointed out that Congress will encourage the youth.

“In the wake of the elections, KPCC has extended strong support to Rahul Gandhi. He strived a lot for the elections,” said Sudhakaran while addressing the media after meeting the AICC leadership here on Wednesday.
