Malappuram: The Perinthalmanna police seized hawala money of Rs 50 lakh here on Saturday. A total of three people were arrested in connection with the incident.

The accused have been identified as Vettattur natives Mujeeb (42), Muhammad Ali (47) and Muhammad Thasneem (24) of Vengoor. They were arrested by a team led by sub inspector Yazir.

The youth were nabbed from the KSRTC depot premises in Perinthalmanna at around 5 am. The money was kept tied on their bodies and hidden inside their clothes.
