Alathur (Palakkad): Burglars looted over Rs 2.5 lakh from the offices of two courier services in Thrippalur here. The offices of Goline Network Pvt Ltd and ECom Express, functioning near the foot overbridge on the National Highway, were broke open after midnight on Monday.
The courier services were engaged in delivering goods from online shopping websites.
Goline lost Rs 1.91 lakh and ECom Rs 79,000, the staff told police.
The burglars who failed to open the locker in Goline took the whole box with them.
CCTV has captured visuals of two people entering the offices wearing coats and face masks. They removed the recorder of the CCTV in Goline office. However, the cameras in ECom captured all the action. The theft was noticed when staff arrived at 6 in the morning to open the store.
Police assume that the burglars arrived from the side of the river. There is no information as of now regarding their mode of transportation. More CCTV visuals from other areas will be checked.
