Kozhikode: Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader and Rajya Sabha MP PV Abdul Wahab who has been receiving flak over praise for BJP ministers has come up with a Facebook post related to the matter.

According to Wahab, his pun at BJP ministers was dragged out of context and misinterpreted. He noted that the allegations claiming he praised BJP ministers are misleading.

“Unfortunately, my speech at parliament criticising the policies of the central government has been propagated by some sources as praise for union ministers” he pointed out.

He elaborated on the matters in which he criticised the union government.

Interestingly, his Facebook post contradicts IUML State General Secretary PMA Salam’s claim on the matter. Salam had remarked that Wahab confessed to his mistake.

Wahab in Rajya Sabha had referred Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan as “ambassador of Kerala in Delhi." He also lauded Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

The remarks raised internal flak and IUML leadership was forced to intervene.
