Ayyappa devotees are facing difficulties walking on the main path of Valiyanada which leads to the Sannidhanam. The way leading to the Nadapadha is strewn with broken slabs and this may cause accidents to the pilgrims.

The Devaswom Board officials said that the place opposite Maalikapuram where the media centre was shifted would be utilised as restroom for pilgrims. But the tile work is not completed and on one side construction work is progressing. The mediapersons had mentioned this issue to the Devaswom minister who visited the Sannidhanam on Sunday. The minister has assured to look into the complaint.

The makeshift camp near the Maalikapuram temple is also in shambles with iron rods, slabs and sheets that was dismantled from the media centre getting accumulated. The Ayyappa devotees had used this place earlier as restrooms. The interlock work on the way leading to Paandithavalam is half-way through and the devotees use this way to reach the canteen and to restroom. The gutters lying on the sides is also not covered. The devotees have to cross the gutter with great care lest they may trip and fall.
