Thiruvananthapuram: Reports have emerged that the rift between KSEB top officials has been affecting decision-making in the board. One of the major allegations is that a tussle between chairman Rajan N Khobragade and power department principal secretary KR Jyothilal has put the decision-making process in limbo.

The principal secretary did not attend two board meetings. According to him, decisions are taken without proper deliberation and discussion.

Meanwhile, power minister K Krishnan Kutty has expressed dissatisfaction multiple times over the chairman’s conduct.

The tussle became more evident as KSEB rerouted from assurances on projects. The government had directed the board to pursue projects that can be completed under the CM’s 100-day programme. However, KSEB has now intimated that three of the projects will not be completed within 100 days.
