Vattiyoorkavu: On one hand is a minister who had to resign from his post and is under the scanner over his remarks against the Indian Constitution, and on the other hand is a teacher who has built a temple devoted to the Indian Constitution. Sivadasan Pillai (71) believes that the country’s constitution must be greater than holy scriptures for every Indian.
He placed the Indian Constitution as the idol in the temple that he constructed on the three-cent plot that he bought near his house in Kudappanakunnu. He also placed a lamp near the idol.
He believes that the new generation must know the Constitution properly. He has also displayed a board on the right side of the building depicting the importance of the temple.
Sivadasan Pillai was a social science teacher at Government Higher Secondary School in Punalur.
