Kozhikode: A retired Sub Inspector of police, who was an accused in POCSO case, was found hanging at the residence of the complainant. The body was spotted in the car porch of the complainant in the wee hours on Tuesday in Kozhikode.
A POCSO case was registered against the SI in 2021 after he retired from service. He had allegedly kidnapped and raped an eight-year-old girl in the locality. He was in jail after a case was registered based on the complaint lodged against him.
The SI had alleged that a fake case was lodged against him. Police have registered a case over the suicide and launched a probe.
