Reshuffle in BJP state unit: Leaders express discontent over reluctance of RSS
Kochi: The BJP is irked over the reluctance expressed by RSS regarding their demand on a reshuffle in the state unit. There is a strong demand for the change of leadership following the poll debacle. However, the RSS refused to intervene in this matter.
The RSS state leadership is confused over the reaction of BJP national leadership if they opined about reshuffle. Meanwhile, there are rumours that the organisational secretary of BJP, who is a nominee of the RSS, is likely to be removed from the position.
Veteran BJP leader and RSS core committee member C K Padmanabhan had openly expressed his discontent over the silence of RSS. Various groups within the party are trying to pressurize the national leadership by raising more complaints, especially regarding misappropriation of election fund and Kodakara hawala case.
Various committees of the party and individuals are forwarding complaints to the central leadership in this regard. However, the faction led by V Muraleedharan is fully confident because the Krishnadas-led faction is not influential in the centre.
Krishnadas faction was compelled to resist the moves to change K Surendran from the leadership after the national leadership intervened. Also Kummanam Rajasekharan arrived to shield them on the matter. The Muraleedharan faction assumes that this was all their achievement.
