Pinarayi (Kannur): Teacher Reshma Prashant, who was arrested for allegedly aiding the accused in the murder of CPM worker Haridasan, filed a complaint before the chief minister against CPM Kannur district secretary MV Jayarajan for using offensive sexual remarks against her in a press conference. The complaint also mentioned the names of CPM leaders Karayi Rajan and others.

In the complaint, she identifies her family and her husband to be CPM supporters. She questions whether the cyberattacks were carried out with the knowledge of the party. She also named DYFI leader and block panchayat member Baiju Nangarath and DYFI member Nidheesh Chellath in her complaint and criticised them for attempting to tarnish her name through social media.

Meanwhile, it has come to light that the attackers hurled bomb at Reshma's house after reaching through the back of the house. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

MV Jayarajan dismissed claims that she had links with CPM and claimed that her family are BJP followers. He pointed out that it was BJP leaders who accompanied her after she was released on bail. Even her lawyer was appointed by BJP, he added.

The police are on the lookout for two of the six accused in the murder of CPM activist Haridasan. Deepak alias Deepu and Nikhil are absconding since the murder.

In the remand report, the police have pointed out that Deepak and Nikhil hacked Haridasan. So far, 15 were arrested in connection with the case.
