Repatriation of expats: Ministry of external affairs lauds Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: The ministry of external affairs appreciated the Kerala government for proposing preventive measures to be taken while repatriating the expats. Sanjay Bhattacharyya, secretary of the external affairs ministry, appreciated the state government in a letter forwarded to state chief secretary Dr Vishwas Mehta.
“I must compliment the Government of Kerala for its pragmatic approach in trying to contain the spread of the virus. The measures proposed by you of wearing N95 mask, face shield, hand gloves, etc. will minimize the chances of transmission,” wrote the external affairs ministry secretary.
He assured that the preventive measures will be discussed with the concerned airlines and ambassadors in the Gulf.
The central government officials also expressed hope that the Kerala government’s proposed preventive measures will greatly facilitate the smooth flow of Indians back home by Vande Bharat Mission flights.
