Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condemned the controversial remarks of BJP spokespersons against Prophet Muhammad while the Union government faces severe diplomatic outrage from the Gulf and other countries. Sangh Parivar had defamed India which is revered by others as a secular and democratic nation,’ said the CM in a statement. The derogatory comments made against the Prophet have been the latest move of Sangh Parivar to humiliate India in front of the world, he added.
The Hindutva communal politics, which marginalise the Muslim community will shatter the financial stability along with the social security of the nation. This emerges in addition to the flawed economic policies of the Centre, slammed Pinarayi Vijayan.
Several Islamic countries, which ensure employment to the lakhs of Indians and aided for the development and economy of our nation, have jointly raised their voices against the politics of hatred displayed by BJP and Sangh Parivar. All these countries had better diplomatic relations with India, pointed out the CM.
He reminded that the constitution does not guarantee rights to anyone for abusing the beliefs and cultures of others. He demanded the union government to take action for ensuring punishment for those who have attempted to pull down the secular stature of the nation. CM also urged the public to protest the communal forces.
