Regular classes begin for all; 82 per cent attendance on first day

Thiruvananthapuram: 82 per cent of students appeared for classes when the regular classes restarted for all students on Monday in the state. Pre-primary classes are being conducted for the first time since the pandemic.

Till class 9, only half of the students will be present in a class from morning to noon. 65 per cent of pre-primary students have attended the classes at schools on Monday.

42.12 per cent of high school students (excluding SSLC), 62.85 per cent of higher secondary students and 65.56 per cent of VHSE students appeared for regular classes on Monday.

Minister for General Education, V Sivankutty, informed that the schools are getting prepared to hold regular classes in full strength for the students of classes 1 to 12 from February 21.
