New Delhi: Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan promised to take a decision shortly on whether to refer the bill seeking the removal of the governor from the position of chancellor of the state universities, to the President of India.

Governor had already confirmed that he would not take a final decision regarding the bill himself.

Meanwhile, the governor said that he is unaware of the affidavit submitted by the Kerala government at the Supreme Court in connection with the appointment of the Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS). He informed the media that the files could not be examined due to health issues.

After attending an event at Aligarh, governor Arif Mohammed Khan will reach Delhi on Saturday and return to Kerala on January 18.
