Kochi: The High Court has barred further proceedings in the notice issued for the recovery of higher pension. The interim order was issued by Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan in the petition filed by the retired employees of Travancore Cochin Chemicals Limited.

The Regional PF Commissioner’s (RPFC) office had issued the notice on the withdrawal of higher pension based on the new Supreme Court order. The high court barred further proceedings in the notice on the petition that the move was against the Central PF Commissioner’s directive. The petition will be considered again on Friday.

Appearing for the petitioners, advocate PN Mohanan pointed out the Central PF Commissioner’s directive was that if the higher pension was being paid based on the high court order, then further proceedings in the matter should be taken after informing the court.
