Thiruvananthapuram: Electricity Minister K Krishnankutty on Thursday said that government is ready to hear the grievances of the KSEB officers who are holding strike.

"The suspension of the officers was withdrawn as per the demands of the protestors. If there are more grievances, we are ready to hear them. However, certain issues can only be resolved within the purview of KSEB rules," he told Mathrubhumi News.

Earlier, KSEB has withdrawn the suspension order of Officers' Association President MG Suresh Kumar and Secretary B Harikumar. Additionally, Jasmine Banu, an assistant engineer, who was suspended for taking illegal leave, has been reinstated upon court order. However, Suresh Kumar and Jasmine were transferred from their office in Thiruvanathapuram. Meanwhile, the promotion of Harikumar was frozen without notice.

The CPM wants to resolve the issue amicably without placing the electricity minister in a tough spot. Further, Jasmine Banu has sought KSEB's permission to approach the Women's Commission for allegedly facing an insult from the board chairman.
