Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Public Service Commission is ready to conduct the exams in Malayalam language, said chairman M K Sakeer after the meeting with chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan here today. The meeting was held in connection with the demand of making PSC question papers available in Malayalam. A statewide hunger strike was observed by pro-Malayalam outfits demanding the PSC to conduct all its examinations in the language.
PSC chairman informed in the meeting with the CM that it is ready to conduct all exams that comes under PSC in Malayalam. A decision to set up a committee to study about the practical issues was arrived and members of the committee will include university teachers.
PSC has withdrawn the excuses over conducting the exam in Malayalam. With this, it is examined that the protest staged by Aikya Malayalam Prasthanam demanding to conduct PSC exams in Malayalam language was successful. Earlier, many noted personalities also joined the protest.
