Ration dealers to launch indefinite strike from Monday
Kozhikode: Nearly 14,000 ration shops across the state will down their shutters indefinitely from Monday.
The protestors want the government resolve their complaints over the implementation of the National Food Security Act.
The office-bearers of ration dealers’ association said no shops would function from Monday.
The decision was taken at the state committee meeting of ration dealers.
They have also planned to conduct sit-in stir at Thiruvananthapuram and other district headquarters.
The dealers say they have been pointing out several issues after the implementation of National Food Security Act. However, the government has not yet addressed their grievances, they rue.
