Kozhikode: The Motor Vehicles Department conducted a three-hour-long awareness class for the students of Providence Womens’ College for dangerously driving vehicles on Fine Arts Day. The class was arranged at the Chevayur test ground by RTO PR Sumesh. The students had rashly driven 30 vehicles together from the ground.

The principal had handed over the vehicle numbers, names of the students and other details to the RTO. Based on this, the Motor Vehicles Department demanded the students attend the class on Wednesday. The department intervened when the videos of the racing spread on social media.

The officials of the MVD informed that Rs 500 has been imposed on the girls who rode the bikes without helmets.
