Thiruvananthapuram: Leader of Opposition Ramesh Chennithala on Sunday dismissed rumours that he will not contest from Haripad constituency in Alappuzha district.
Demanding to end the rumours, the Congress leader said that he would contest from Haripad.
“There are rumours that I will contest from Changanassery, Aruvikkara and Vattiyoorkkavu. Whenever I have contested from Haripad, the people there have helped me. Haripad has always sheltered me and I have complete faith in the people there,” he said.
Ramesh Chennithala added that the UDF supporting LDF to secure administration of Thripperumthura panchayat was a political decision.
