Manasa, Rakhil

Kochi: A friend of Rakhil, the accused in Manasa murder case, revealed that Rakhil had asked for help to get a room saying that he wanted to solve the issues with Manasa. This was revealed by Rakhil's friend Hanseeb who rented a room for him in Nellikuzhi, Kothamangalam.

Hanseeb also has said that Rakhil had been in a relationship with Manasa for a long time and could not breakup despite having some problems between them. Rakhil also said that these are only problems that can be solved by talking in person with her. Citing these reasons, Rakhil asked the help of Hanseeb and requested a room near Indira Gandhi Dental College. Hanseeb pointed out that Rakhil had spoken to him even after he booked the room for him.

The Police are still investigating how Rakhil get a gun. Ballistic experts and a forensic team conducted an expert examination at the scene. The probe has been extended to Rakhil's hometown of Kannur to find the source of the gun. The police team from Kothamangalam had already reached Kannur by Saturday morning. They went to Rakhil's house in Melur and recorded a detailed statement.

Meanwhile, Manasa's body was taken to Kalamassery Medical College for post-mortem after completing the inquest proceedings. Rakhil's body will also be brought to Kalamassery for post-mortem soon. The bodies will be handed over to the relatives after completion of the postmortem.
