Rains to lash state for next 5 days


Yellow alert has been issued for Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur districts on May 11 and Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod districts on May 12.

Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department has warned that summer rains along with strong winds will continue to batter the state for the next five days.

Kerala State Disaster management authority has issued warning to exercise caution on lightning strikes.

Fishermen were alerted. Those who use small boats for fishing have been asked not to stand on it on sea in times of lightning. It is better to sit inside the boat and they have been warned against coming out to the deck.
