Rain recedes in Kerala; Yellow alert in 3 districts on Friday
Thiruvananthapuram: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that rain is receding in Kerala. The rainfall in the state will abate in the next five days.
A yellow alert has been sounded in Kannur, Kasaragod and Idukki districts on August 16. Heavy rain is predicted at isolated places in these districts. Orange alert exists in Kannur and Kasaragod districts on August 15.
The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) informed that people need not panic and various departments and concerned officers are asked to continue exercising caution. Also, KSDMA has directed to continue functioning of control rooms in Taluk levels.
